  • What is your cancellation policy?

    A minimum of 7 days' notice is required to withdraw your registered spot in a course. SIMS will refund 100% of your registered course payment, less an administration fee if 7 days’ notice is given. Refunds will not be issued if withdrawing within 7 days of a course. Please email info@sksims.ca indicating your withdrawal and the course you are enrolled in.

  • How much are the administration fees?

    $25.00 administration fee for all BLS and TLR courses $75.00 administration fee for all other courses

  • What if I want to reschedule a class?

    Participants wishing to reschedule will have the option to register for another training course within 6 months of their initial course date. The administration fee will be waived if your course is transferred to another date within 6 months.

  • There was an emergency and I couldn't/can't make it to class...

    Your health and well-being is important to us. SIMS reserves the right to waive all course cancellation fees, given extenuating circumstances beyond your control. These decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

  • Can I get a last minute refund/reschedule?

    Refunds will not be issued and course transfers will not be considered on the day of the course or if a course is not attended.

Disclaimers

SIMS reserves the right to cancel any course due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to instructor illness, inclement weather, or low enrolment numbers. In these situations, SIMS will notify you within 24 hours of the course. SIMS assumes no liability for course cancellation for any reason.

Any additional costs related to course participation (including but not limited to: travel, hotel, per-diem, mileage, or employee wages) are the responsibility of the participant and/or their employee.
